Job summary

AMD is seeking a 2027 Masters Hardware Design Verification Engineering Intern/Co-op to join a team working on high-end Machine Intelligence products. You will contribute to design, build, and delivery, with exposure to verification flows, Verilog, SystemVerilog, and performance-enhancing scripts.

You must be enrolled at a US university in Electrical or Computer Engineering and be able to work 40 hours per week in hybrid or onsite arrangements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based Bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Willing to work full-time (40 hours/week) in hybrid or onsite during the co-op/intern term.
• Knowledge of C++, Python, C, Perl, Shell, UVM, Verilog or SystemVerilog encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and complete verification test plans and models.
• Write Perl/Python scripts to track and manage compute resources.
• Test regression flows using Perl, Python, MySQL, and PHP.
• Review tools and processes to improve simulation performance and efficiency.
• Assist in debugging and improving test cases and Verilog/systemVerilog code.
