Job summary

Vercel is seeking a Design Engineer for AI Gateway. You will own product design and frontend implementation across surfaces, collaborating with a Product Manager and engineers to understand problems, explore solutions, and ship a production-ready experience.

You will work with customers and the Design Team to craft interfaces that scale across models, providers, and workloads, while maintaining accessibility and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to ship production web applications in a large codebase.
• Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript.
• Translate customer research and product data into design decisions.
• Balance visual craft with accessibility and performance considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own product design and frontend implementation for key parts of the user journey from discovery to production use.
• Design and build experiences across website, dashboard, CLI, and APIs; pick the right medium for each problem.
• Create patterns that scale across providers, modalities, and workloads; ensure governance and budgets are understood.
• Engage directly with customers and use product data to drive decisions and tradeoffs.
• Ensure quality after launch, covering visuals, interactions, accessibility, and performance.
