Job summary

Vercel is hiring a Design Engineer for AI Gateway who will own product design and frontend implementation across discovery, model selection, and production workloads. You will collaborate with customers, a Product Manager, and engineers to ship risk-managed experiences at scale.

You will work with a cross-functional team to shape interfaces, dashboards, CLI, and APIs, ensuring accessibility, performance, and robust instrumentation across surfaces.

Qualifications

• Strong production-quality web apps using React and TypeScript
• Ability to contribute confidently in a large, existing codebase
• Strong visual and interaction craft; make complex products understandable

Responsibilities

• Own product design and frontend implementation for parts of the journey from model discovery to production
• Design and build production experiences across website, dashboard, CLI, and APIs
• Make models, providers, credentials, routing, budgets, logs, performance, privacy, and governance understandable and extensible
• Talk directly with customers and use product data to define success and tradeoffs
• Own quality after launch including accessibility, performance, and instrumentation
• Use coding agents to explore ideas, test, debug, and ship
