Job summary

EY is building Challenger, a program to create AI-enabled services. This role focuses on turning AI capabilities into durable products, close to users, product decisions, and production code.

You’ll operate in end-to-end ownership across experience, services, data, and enterprise integrations. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of full-stack experience, hands-on AI product work, and a track record of delivering live services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• End-to-end delivery: a record of taking software from concept through launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud.
• Hands-on experience building products with large language models, retrieval, tools, or similar AI patterns.
• Evidence of automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user: work with users and domain experts to understand workflows.
• Test assumptions quickly: turn hypotheses into concise specs, prototypes, and small releases.
• Own complete product slices: build coherent verticals across experience, services, data, AI, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior: design instructions, context, retrieval, outputs, and tool use.
• Build the evidence system: create tasks and automated evaluations to show usefulness and safety.
• Connect outcomes to behavior: instrument user journeys to relate adoption to system metrics.
• Engineer for responsible use: clear permission boundaries and secure data handling.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor live behavior, respond to incidents.
• Make practical trade-offs: balance experience, quality, speed, and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns: share components and evaluation assets while maintaining accountability.
