Job summary

EZCORP Services, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Engineer for AI-first, full-stack development across customer apps, e-commerce platforms and internal tools. Lead technical direction, design scalable architectures, and champion AI-assisted workflows.

You will coordinate multiple projects, review code, mentor engineers, and drive delivery with product teams while maintaining quality, reliability, and security across production systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years building production applications with React and/or Angular.
• 3+ years developing backend services using Node.js.
• 2+ years leading projects or technical workstreams.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in production.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into production systems.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and system interfaces with explicit contracts for AI tools.
• Experience with Azure and AWS services preferred.
• Experience with mobile development (React Native, iOS/Android) preferred.
• Experience in financial services or retail industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using React, Angular, and Node.js across EZCORP's digital product portfolio.
• Establish QA automation leveraging AI to generate tests in parallel with development.
• Support backend infrastructure integrations with third-party vendors and internal services.
• Contribute to a maintainable, high-quality codebase optimized for AI-assisted extensibility.
• Mentor engineers on AI-assisted development practices and architectural patterns.
• Lead on-call and incident response, perform root cause analysis and fixes.
• Engage in product and technical discussions to align with roadmaps and architecture.
