U.S. News & World Report is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to build data-driven web applications across front-end and back-end stacks.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and analysts to deliver features end-to-end, embracing an AI-first approach and modern technologies including React, Python, AWS, and BigQuery. You will work with a passionate, growing team, enjoy independence with low overhead, and help shape scalable systems used by millions of visitors

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of full stack experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, skills, agents, automations.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks (React).
• Web styling with CSS preprocessors or CSS-in-JS.
• Server-side tech such as Python, Java, or NodeJS.
• Databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Unix-based OS and shell tools.
• Version control with Git.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and mentors developers.
• Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Make code architecture decisions and review code for quality.
• Employ an AI-first approach to development and problem solving.
• Develop web applications that reach millions of visitors monthly.
