Job summary

Trust & Will, a remote-first company founded in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Controller to lead accounting, internal controls, and financial strategy during rapid growth. You will own month-end close, tax compliance, and the accounting tech stack while partnering with FP&A to optimize costs and drive scalable processes.

The role requires 10+ years in accounting, leadership in high-growth settings, and experience with AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience with leadership in high-growth environments.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, compliance and controls.
• Hands-on AI/automation experience in accounting workflows.
• Experience designing internal controls for automated processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close, tax compliance and AP/AR; ensure timely, accurate data.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to scale operations.
• Lead audits and reconciliations with meticulous detail.
• Manage the accounting tech stack; collaborate with FP&A for continuity.
• Partner with CFO and FP&A on cost analysis and strategic planning.
• Oversee vendor relationships and policy compliance.
