Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer focused on Agentforce Operations. You will design, build, and deploy autonomous AI solutions inside customer environments, bridging advanced AI agents with the broader enterprise tech stack.

You will work in an agile deployment pod, writing production code, configuring data grounding systems, and managing multi-agent communication to modernize workflows across ERP, data clouds, and middleware.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with at least one production AI or enterprise integration system.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on AI & Grounding expertise: LLM orchestration, prompt tuning, and RAG pipelines for enterprise data.
• Experience with API design (REST/SOAP/webhooks) and agent protocols (MCP, tool calling, event-driven messaging).
• Expertise in process orchestration and API-led connectivity (MuleSoft or custom middleware).
• Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Ability to whiteboard architecture with executives while writing production code.
• Familiarity with automation platforms and enterprise AI/agent platforms.
• Experience with integrated enterprise apps (Workday, Jira, SAP, Oracle) and deployment infra (Kafka, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of data governance and master data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade agentic AI solutions inside customer environments.
• Write production code and architect real-time grounding systems for agent APIs and data pipelines.
• Develop multi-agent orchestration and communication protocols across enterprise systems.
• Create and maintain APIs and integration pipelines to connect AFO/Agentforce with data clouds and ERPs.
• Implement AI-assisted engineering practices to move from architecture sketches to deployable code quickly.
• Build telemetry dashboards to monitor agent performance and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to feed edge cases into roadmaps.
