Job summary

RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, seeks an AI Accelerator engineer to mature early-stage AI prototypes into secure, scalable enterprise solutions. You will collaborate across RTX teams to deploy models, pipelines, and microservices in a regulated production environment.

You will design scalable interfaces, own architecture decisions, and partner with infrastructure to evolve the AI Factory platform.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 12+ years of experience unless prohibited by local laws.
• Minimum 5 years in Python, C++, and modern back-end frameworks.
• Minimum 3 years with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Minimum 1 year with LLMs, RAG workflows, and AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Minimum 1 year with integrating AI/ML models into software applications.

Responsibilities

• Convert AI prototypes into production-grade applications, microservices, and pipelines.
• Design interfaces and patterns enabling AI capabilities to plug into the AI Factory.
• Own service architecture decisions to onboard, scale, and retire AI capabilities.
• Partner with infrastructure to evolve platform based on real application demands.
• Build and deploy cloud-based services on AWS and Azure following RTX best practices.
• Integrate AI/ML models into enterprise apps.
• Implement CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and secure deployment workflows.
• Ensure compliance with RTX cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute reusable components to strengthen the AI Factory platform.
