Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist within the Content Development team to shape K-12 assessments for state and district clients. You will serve as both content and assessment expert, collaborating with education departments and partners to develop accessible, standards-based assessments across the U.S.

You'll lead item development, review content across grade levels, utilize AI-powered tools, and work with psychometricians and Pearson groups to ensure quality and alignment with evolving AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience.
• 5 years’ teaching experience preferred in content area.
• Strong AI content development ability.
• Experience prompting and evaluating AI-generated content.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels.
• Create item specs, test blueprints, and related documents.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance content while meeting standards.
• Collaborate with Pearson teams and customers on content.
• Help train item writers and educators for item development.
• Support test construction and review of test forms.
