Job summary

GitLab is seeking an AI Transformation Owner to drive end-to-end AI enablement for the field organization, turning emerging AI capabilities into clear roadmaps, use cases, and governance aligned with policy. You will partner with product and engineering to pilot and scale AI solutions and embed AI into day-to-day workflows.

This hands-on, strategy-to-execution role reports to the VP, Enablement & AI. Remote-friendly environment with async collaboration and global impact.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in enablement, sales operations, or related GTM function, owning initiatives end-to-end.
• Direct experience evaluating, piloting, or deploying AI tools or solutions with technical understanding.
• Proven ability to work with product and engineering to translate field needs into requirements.
• Autonomy to define scope, structure problems, and drive work forward without detailed direction.
• Strong project management to oversee multiple workstreams without losing detail.
• Builder mindset - curious about new technology and able to separate opportunity from hype.
• Familiarity with field/sales enablement motions and how AI can augment them.
• Ability to work in an all-remote, asynchronous environment per GitLab values.

Responsibilities

• AI Enablement Roadmap: Own and evolve the roadmap for AI-enabled initiatives with field impact.
• AI Field Use Cases: Identify, scope, and measure high-value AI use cases, define success criteria.
• AI Field Champions: Build relationships and track adoption with AI Ops Specialist and Enablement Analyst.
• Ops Transformation Plan: Design and drive operational plan to scale AI pilots into repeatable processes.
• AI Governance: Lead governance standards for AI tool adoption, data usage, risk review, and policy alignment.
