Job summary

GitLab seeks an AI Engineer to help build AI-powered solutions across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise AI, you’ll own AI initiatives end-to-end in a remote, asynchronous environment that values collaboration, results, and learning.

You’ll diagnose business problems, map workflows, design practical AI interventions, and ship prototypes quickly to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to own AI initiatives end-to-end from discovery to deployment.
• Experience designing practical AI interventions that deliver measurable business value.
• Strong understanding of API integration and modern AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose business problems before building solutions and map workflows to identify constraints.
• Own AI initiatives end-to-end from discovery through deployment and iteration.
• Design, develop, and ship AI-powered solutions quickly with measurable outcomes.
• Improve organizational flow by reducing bottlenecks and increasing throughput.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems using APIs and orchestration tools.
• Be Customer Zero by showcasing GitLab's AI offerings and gathering usage insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align on outcomes before solutions are built.
• Define and track success with business and flow metrics and feedback loops.
• Contribute to technical direction by documenting patterns and reusable foundations.
