Job summary

Humana is seeking an Associate Director of AI Enablement to lead the Enterprise Engineering Enablement program and scale the Agentic Development Lifecycle across multiple tracks. You will drive architecture decisions, coach agile and DevOps practices, and partner with senior leaders to enable enterprise-wide adoption of GAI while ensuring regulatory compliance in a HIPAA-regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering with leadership experience
• Demonstrated ownership of multi-track/platform-scale programs
• Hands-on depth in distributed systems, platform/SRE, ML/AI or cloud infra
• Production experience with Kubernetes and major cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Fluent in LLM app development and agent/AI tooling
• Experience shipping in regulated environments with security/compliance
• Ability to drive alignment across peer orgs without direct authority
• Experience with enterprise-grade platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub, SonarQube, Artifactory, TFE)
• Knowledge of IaC, GitOps, Argo, and Terraform Enterprise
• Deep understanding of large language models and trends
• Strong written communication; architecture docs and VP-ready summaries
• Caring, empowering leadership; fosters collaboration and growth
• Able to give direct feedback and promote team maturity

• Excellent communicator and catalyst for agile transformation in AI Enablement
• Enjoys presenting updates to senior leaders and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Review architecture decisions, ADRs, and agent design specs and write them when needed
• Prototype in agent harness: sub-agent definitions, tool integrations, prompt specs
• Read traces, evaluate eval-harness outputs, debug agent behavior with engineers
• Contribute to reference implementations for Factory PODs
• Participate in code and design reviews as a contributor, not observer
