Humana Inc. is seeking an Associate Director of AI Enablement to drive the ADLC program across four tracks, governance, and enterprise‑scale delivery.

Lead engineering managers and squads, institute modern Agile, DevOps, and ML/AI practices, and guide a matrixed organization through change while enabling secure, compliant delivery of AI products. The role requires 15+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading teams, hands‑on Kubernetes and cloud experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering.
• 5+ years leading engineering managers, leads, or multiple squads.
• Hands‑on depth in distributed systems, platform/SRE, ML/AI engineering, or cloud infra.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and at least one major cloud.
• Working fluency with LLM application development — agent frameworks, prompt engineering, RAG, tool/function calling.
• Track record of shipping in a regulated environment with security/compliance constraints.
• Proven ability to drive alignment across peer organizations without direct authority.
• Master's degree.
• Experience with agentic AI in production — multi-agent orchestration and observability.
• Familiarity with Claude Code / Claude Agent SDK / MCP or similar tooling.
• Healthcare, payer, or life sciences with HIPAA/PHI handling experience.
• Exposure to AI governance frameworks (NIST RMF, ISO 42001, EU AI Act).
• FinOps experience — cost telemetry and optimization.

Responsabilités

• Review architecture decisions, ADRs, and agent design specs; contribute when needed.
• Prototype in the agent harness with sub‑agent definitions and tool integrations.
• Read traces, evaluate eval‑harness output, and debug agent behavior with engineers.
• Contribute to reference implementations for Factory PODs.
• Sit in code and design reviews as an active participant.
