Job summary

Fabletics seeks an AI Enablement Engineer to empower Builders across the company, ensuring AI-enabled applications are secure, scalable, tested, and observable. You will lead training, advise on architecture, and provide a safety net while enabling rapid, high-quality AI-driven work.

The role emphasizes hands-on production readiness, collaboration with security and data teams, and building reusable patterns to accelerate internal AI projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, senior or staff level.
• Deep, hands-on experience across the full path to production: architecture, secure auth/secrets, data governance, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and documentation.
• Experience building AI applications, including LLM APIs, prompt engineering, agents, RAG, and evals/testing.
• Comfort with a modern, fast-moving stack (Next.js, Vercel, Supabase, Postgres) and automation tools (Zapier/Make/n8n/Retool).
• Proven ability to teach, unblock, and review the work of non-engineers with pragmatism.
• Familiarity with production standards and what can be cut for internal prototypes vs. must-have.
• Experience building internal platforms, developer enablement, or paved-road tooling a plus.
• AI literacy and willingness to experiment with new technologies to boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead training for the Builder Program.
• Advise Builders on architecture and tooling to establish sound foundations.
• Provide a technical safety net: answer questions, unblock, and steer decisions without taking over.
• Review, harden, and deploy Builder-created apps with secure auth, data governance, testing and CI/CD.
• Define production path and support ownership for each app after launch.
• Build reusable templates, starter kits, and guardrails for scalable patterns.
• Tackle complex, cross-functional builds end-to-end on occasion with well-documented templates.
• Partner with engineering, security, and data teams to raise production standards.
