Job summary

Hearst Communications, Inc. seeks a Manager, Consulting Services to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering AI-enabled care management solutions.

You will oversee technical implementation, drive customer engagement, and partner with stakeholders across Utilization, Care, Pharmacy, and Appeals domains. The ideal candidate will mentor subject matter experts, optimize team utilization, and push for continuous improvement while aligning with customer priorities and revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Technical Consulting, Solution Consulting, Systems Integration, or Software Implementation within healthcare technology.
• Experience with healthcare payer, care management, or population health solutions preferred.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills; REST/SOAP, XML/JSON, and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 FHIR, X12, EDI).
• Familiarity with enterprise security (SSO, SSL/TLS, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect), cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and AI/Generative AI/LLM-enabled technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks and dependencies; communicate with stakeholders and drive on-schedule outcomes.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management; build capacity plans and role coverage.
• Develop a high-performing team with deep clinical, technical, and functional expertise; support escalations and delivery.
• Set and manage OKRs/KPIs; drive continuous improvement via retrospectives and knowledge sharing.
• Optimize team utilization by aligning capacity with customer priorities and partner with Sales on opportunities when demand is below plan.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-enabled workflows to improve productivity and delivery quality.
• Provide solution direction across the customer lifecycle; own project delivery and architecture reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex technical/integration/data issues; produce and maintain technical documentation.
