Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a senior RCA leader to oversee AI and emerging technology risk governance. You will drive second-line oversight for AI, digital assets, and related governance processes, ensuring risk classification, escalation, and policy alignment across the organization.

The role requires extensive enterprise risk experience, regulatory engagement, and the ability to translate complex technology developments into governance actions. Location is U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience in enterprise risk management, technology risk, operational risk, compliance, cybersecurity, AI risk, financial services, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience engaging senior executives, governance committees, regulators, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior second-line leadership for AI, generative AI, agentic/autonomous AI and other emerging technologies.
• Establish and evolve the organization's risk-based approach to emerging technology oversight.
• Anticipate emerging technology risks and regulatory developments and translate them into appropriate risk oversight priorities.
• Provide independent review, credible challenge, and escalation of material technology-risk considerations.
• Lead second-line oversight supporting the AI policy and governance processes.
• Oversee the AI risk classification and tiering framework.
• Monitor trends, exceptions, and emerging risks to determine where enhanced oversight may be warranted.
• Maintain escalation and reporting of significant AI risk issues to governance forums.
• Lead second-line oversight of digital asset activities, including custody and tokenization.
• Coordinate with risk partners to provide an integrated view of digital asset risk.
