Job summary

Virtusa Corporation is seeking a QA automation engineer with hands-on experience using AI-powered assistants to accelerate test automation, design, and debugging. The role requires proficiency in Selenium, Playwright, WebDriverIO, Cucumber, TestNG, and Cypress, plus strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python and familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Experience with API testing tools (REST Assured, Postman) and CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions) is essential.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience leveraging AI-powered developer and testing assistants to accelerate test automation design and coding.
Proficiency with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, WebDriverIO, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG, Cypress.
Strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python with SQL/NoSQL databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL.
Experience with API testing using REST Assured, Postman, or Karate.
Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and integrating tests with GitHub Actions.
Good grasp of Agile/Scrum and SDLC; knowledge of functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, security, and performance testing.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with effective cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent verbal and written communication; self-motivated and quick to learn emerging automation practices.
