Job summary

Pearson Technology Solutions Specialist is a role that independently owns business analysis for PPA system enhancements, product improvements, integrations, and reporting initiatives. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, QA, Client Services, Operations, and stakeholders to understand needs, define requirements, document workflows, and support delivery readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IS, CS, or related field; practical experience accepted.
• 2–3 years in business analysis, systems analysis, or technology delivery.
• Experience with Agile delivery, SDLC, Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence/SharePoint.
• Experience with enterprise systems, APIs, reporting, SQL/data analysis is preferred.
• IIBA or Agile certification and Pearson Assessment partner certs are a plus but not required.
• Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to translate business language into clear technical context.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation for initiatives, enhancements, and changes.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, and flows.
• Use approved AI tools to accelerate drafting, stakeholder synthesis, and gap analysis.
• Use AI-supported data analysis to identify trends, bottlenecks, and insights.
• Analyze current-state processes and recommend future-state improvements.
• Evaluate system impacts across Pearson apps, APIs, data stores, and reporting tools.
• Decompose requirements into backlog items and technical tickets with stakeholders.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, data alignment sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
• Maintain documentation as a single source of truth; communicate scope and risks clearly.
• Identify automation opportunities and AI-enabled improvements.
