Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Technology Solutions Specialist in the United States to own business analysis for moderate PPA system enhancements, product improvements, integrations, and reporting initiatives. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Data, QA, Client Services, and Operations to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

The role requires managing ambiguity, ensuring traceability, and aligning work to Pearson business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 2-3 years of business analysis, product analysis, or systems analysis experience.
• Experience with Agile, SDLC, Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence/SharePoint, and requirements lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation for initiatives, enhancements, and system changes.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Use AI tools to accelerate drafting, synthesis, and process documentation.
• Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and reporting insights.
• Decompose requirements into backlog items and technical tasks with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain documentation as a single source of truth for decisions and mappings.
• Communicate scope, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for automation and improved reporting.
