Job summary

Assembled is seeking a Technical Recruiter to own recruiting across engineering, product, and design. This role focuses on strategic, high-signal hiring and partnering with execs and managers to shape a recruiting function, not just fill roles.

This is an in-person role based in San Francisco or New York, five days a week. You will drive full-cycle recruiting, design interview loops, and apply AI to sourcing and closing, with a strong emphasis on speed, quality, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience closing technical roles for startups.
• Experience hiring across levels from senior ICs to directors.
• Ability to sell company stage, mission, equity, scope, and pace against bigger brands.
• Excited about how AI is changing recruiting and applying it in day-to-day work.
• Move quickly with clear communication and ensure candidates and hiring managers stay informed.
• Manage searches with data-driven metrics while preserving a human touch.

Responsibilities

• Recruit full-cycle across engineering, product, design, and other technical functions from intake through close.
• Be a thought partner to hiring managers: run intakes, calibrate searches, design interview loops to surface top talent.
• Build proactive sourcing strategies beyond obvious channels to engage top passive talent.
• Run a tight process with urgency, clear communication, timely feedback, and strong candidate experience.
• Use data to drive recruiting strategy across the funnel: pass-through rates, time to fill, sourcing effectiveness, offers.
• Use AI across sourcing, research, outreach personalization, prep, funnel analysis, and closing.
