Job summary

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP seeks a Knowledge Management Lawyer (KML) in Tax to develop the Tax Practice Group’s knowledge strategy and implement AI-powered projects. The role combines legal expertise with knowledge management and advanced technologies to enhance knowledge capture, efficiency, and clarity in advisory work across private equity, fundraising, M&A, real estate, and capital markets matters.

The KML will collaborate with Knowledge & Innovation, Applied Analytics, and Practice

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of Tax experience in a large law firm.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Self-starter and highly motivated.
Strong customer service skills and prompt response time to incoming requests.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement knowledge strategy for the Tax Practice Group.
Collaborate with analytics and solutions teams to pilot legal tech and AI applications.
Monitor legal market developments and publish client alerts and articles.
Create and maintain knowledge resources, precedents, templates and dashboards.
Identify AI-driven use cases and assist in AI workflow adoption.
Support RFP responses and business development materials.
Mentor associates and provide knowledge resources across the group.
Collaborate with other departments to improve content and processes.
