Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte seeks a Knowledge & Innovation Counsel (KIC) to advance AI-enabled knowledge management across designated practice groups. You will lead strategy, curate expertise, and partner with the Applied AI team to deploy practical AI solutions in a dynamic, high-stakes legal environment.

The role requires seasoned incident mentorship, cross-functional training, and ongoing collaboration with attorneys and firm leadership.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited university.
• At least six (6) years of practice or knowledge-management experience aligned with the practice.
• Demonstrated familiarity with the firm’s AI platforms and their application to legal work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for one or more assigned practice groups, building relationships with attorneys.
• Guide attorneys on AI tools and solutions across the matter lifecycle.
• Mentor Knowledge & Innovation Attorneys or analysts supporting the groups.
• Set priorities for AI and knowledge initiatives within the groups.
• Represent AI and knowledge priorities in discussions with leadership.
