Position: Knowledge Management Attorney (Tax)

Base pay range: $255,000.00/yr - $265,000.00/yr

A prestigious global law firm is seeking a Knowledge Management Attorney with a background in Tax to join its expanding Knowledge & Innovation team. This newly created role is ideal for a senior attorney looking to transition into a strategic, non-billable position at an AM Law 100 firm. The position focuses on enhancing practice efficiency, driving the use of legal tech and generative AI, and building practice-specific knowledge resources to support attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain knowledge management tools, templates, and resources for Tax group
  • Develop systems for organizing internal work product, experience, and market data to support benchmarking, BD, and client service
  • Lead training sessions on knowledge tools, legal tech platforms, and best practices
  • Identify and implement legal tech solutions to improve workflows and practice efficiency
  • Champion the integration of generative AI and other innovative technologies within legal processes
  • Evaluate and recommend new technology tools tailored to practice group needs
  • Present on tech-enabled legal solutions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support firmwide knowledge and innovation initiatives through collaboration and education
  • Monitor market trends and developments in legal tech relevant to Tax areas
  • Adapt responsibilities to align with evolving business needs and group priorities
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school required
  • 4+ years of legal practice experience in either:
  • Corporate tax (including private funds or cross-border tax structuring)
  • Deep familiarity with practice-specific workflows, documentation, and deal structures
  • Prior experience in legal innovation, legal tech, or KM roles a plus
  • Experience working with private equity clients is highly valued
  • Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for legal technology, efficiency, and enhancing the client experience
