Job summary

Headway is scaling its mission to fix access to mental healthcare through a cross-functional Strategic Finance Manager role that partners with Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and People to drive forecasting, unit economics, and strategic investment decisions. You’ll shape how the company allocates capital and measures success with AI-augmented insights.

You’ll own planning, budgeting, and KPIs while partnering with leadership to translate data into actionable business cases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience blending finance roles with analytical strategy.
• Experience blending Investment Banking, Consulting, or PE/VC with a fast-growing tech company's strategic finance.
• Owned numbers or acted as a financial partner to a fast-growing business or product line.
• Translate financial analysis into decisions that sharpen strategy and drive results.
• Bring structure to ambiguity and anticipate stakeholder needs with flexible priorities.
• Communicate complex insights clearly to finance and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the business as an embedded finance business partner to translate plans into financial forecasts and constraints.
• Drive capital allocation by building and testing business cases for investments and tracking outcomes.
• Own planning & budgeting by running the monthly forecasting process and managing the operating budget.
• Maintain forecasts and KPIs by defining drivers and making them visible and trusted with Data support.
• Bring AI into the workflow to drive faster insights and smarter decisions.
