Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Technical Lead in Falls Church, VA to drive AI-enabled SDLC, modern microservices, and SecDevOps across enterprise software projects. You will lead architecture, coding practices, and cloud management to deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires 10+ years of hands-on full-stack development with Java/J2EE, Spring, API microservices, and strong leadership. AWS expertise and container orchestration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Proven track record of AI-enabled SDLC implementation.
• Proven ability to execute technology roadmaps for innovation and competitive advantage.
• Strong leadership with experience building high-performing tech teams.
• Ability to lead organizational change with new tech, processes, and methodologies.
• 10+ years of hands-on full-stack development with Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, and API microservices.
• Proven expertise in SecDevOps with Docker, Maven, and JBoss EAP.
• Hands-on AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Strong programming skills in Java; experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• AI SDLC leadership to optimize AI-enabled development practices across teams.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices architectures and APIs.
• Lead SecDevOps practices and automate deployment pipelines and security testing.
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud environments for performance and cost efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure interoperability and integration with existing systems.
• Support security controls, compliance, and regular security assessments.
