Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to a demanding cyber security program. You will design and implement Java microservices, build REST APIs, and develop AWS-based data workflows while ingesting and normalizing data from multiple sources.

A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, with duties including documentation, testing, and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a computing-related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong understanding of Java microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS data workflows (Lambda, S3) is required.
• TS/SCI with active polygraph clearance is required.
• Location: Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Java microservices.
• Integrate data from multiple systems via REST APIs.
• Develop and optimize AWS-based data workflows (Lambda, S3, etc.).
• Ingest and normalize data from diverse sources.
• Create technical documentation and briefings for program reviews.
• Collaborate across enterprise services and perform tests.
• Write unit and integration tests; monitor production apps.
• Participate in code reviews and system integration tasks.
