Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 10+ years of applied experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage complex technical items.
• Expert Python engineer delivering production-grade services with strong testing and reliability practices.
• Proven AI/agentic workflow architecture experience (tool-use patterns, orchestration, context management, guardrails).
• Strong enterprise/solution architecture skills across end-to-end systems.
• Hands-on AWS experience delivering secure, scalable cloud-native services (IAM/security, networking, compute).
• VectorDB + retrieval (RAG) experience with embedding/indexing and relevance/latency tradeoffs.
• Experience personalizing AI experiences based on user profiles/entitlements/preferences.
• Familiarity with voice and chat data processing pipelines for assistant insights.
• Platform ownership mindset for large user bases (~3,000 users).
• Strong responsible AI/controls understanding including governance and safety gates.

Responsibilities

• Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.
• Accountable for decisions influencing resources, budget, and execution of processes.
• Sets direction and governance for AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/ADLC automation to improve speed, quality, and outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
• Governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success like cost of ownership.
• Delivers technical solutions usable across multiple businesses and domains.
• Leads and mentors technologists, influences stakeholders, and supports hiring for deep technical roles.
