Job summary

MEDHOST, Inc. seeks a Software Architect to lead the architecture of its applications and products. You will set technical direction, evaluate technologies, and mentor teams while accelerating delivery with AI-driven development and LLMs.

You will collaborate with product, operations, and development leaders to shape strategic technical choices. The role emphasizes designing highly available environments, implementing security-conscious AI integration, and aligning with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 6+ years of development experience.
• Hands-on leadership experience and maturity in technical decisions.
• Experience applying AI-DLC or AI-native development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and integrating LLM APIs.
• Experience with Claude Code or comparable AI coding agents.
• Experience designing highly available and clustered environments.

Responsibilities

• Set architectural vision and milestones for teams building scalable Java and web apps.
• Lead AI-driven development adoption across inception, construction, and operations.
• Establish standards for reviewing, testing, and validating AI-generated code and designs.
• Architect solutions integrating LLMs with attention to security and regulatory requirements.
• Evolve existing architectural stack and collaborate enterprise-wide.
• Review technical designs to ensure architectural integrity and quality.
• Participate in the full SDLC within Agile processes.
• Plan for performance targets and troubleshoot bottlenecks (JVM, app server, DB).
• Develop and evolve development practices (unit tests, code reviews, CI/CD).
• Evaluate new technologies and develop proofs of concept as needed.
• Meet clients to determine long-term system needs and requirements.
• Provide technical support and implementation guidance to clients.
• Mentor team members on effective use of technology for business needs.
• Maintain QMS procedures and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as needed.
