Job summary

Flexi Software seeks a Sr. Director, Software Engineering to stand up and lead a second AI-forward engineering practice. You will hire, set direction, and ship modern web-based software with enterprise-grade security and reliability.

This hands-on, player-coach role requires steering architecture and code, employing AI to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality for banking, insurance, and financial services customers. Hybrid in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

Hands-on architect-level software engineering and coding
Experience leading teams and hiring from zero
Strong frontend tech depth: JavaScript/React/Vite
Proven AI-forward delivery and tooling experience
Regulated industry software experience desirable

Responsibilities

Stand up and lead a second AI-forward engineering practice
Own end-to-end delivery from architecture to release
Hands-on player-coach, code and review work
Embed AI across coding, reviews, testing and docs
Build with modern web tech: JS, HTML, React, Vite; SQL Server backend
Ensure security, reliability, resilience, and data integrity for financial clients
Define architecture standards and integration with existing C++/C# stack
Establish engineering discipline: CI/CD, testing, observability
Manage cloud platforms and spend; optimize cost
Hire, onboard, and develop engineers; nurture leaders
Define and track KPIs: velocity, reliability, performance, cost
Collaborate with Product to ship roadmap
