ConsumerAffairs is seeking a QA Engineer to own testing for a cross-functional product area. You will collaborate with developers and product owners to define requirements early and own QA from start to finish, including AI-driven test agents and an end-to-end test suite.

You’ll explore beyond scripted tests, investigate defects with clear reports, and contribute to QA processes and tooling to improve release reliability across daily production deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Experience creating and managing testing processes with AI tools as primary interface.
• Quality engineering mindset; ability to decide which AI tests are valuable.

Responsibilities

• Own quality for your area as part of a cross-functional team and own tests end-to-end.
• Review requirements early and flag ambiguity and missing criteria.
• Direct and oversee AI test agents; review results for reliability and coverage.
• Do exploratory testing beyond scripted tests to catch edge cases.
• Investigate defects and log reproducible reports with evidence and impact.
• Manage test environments and data for reliable testing.
• Verify production releases with smoke tests and raise risk when needed.
• Learn system breadth and understand ConsumerAffairs integrations.
• Contribute to QA processes, standards and tooling.
