Ideal candidates have 3+ years of manual QA experience, practical knowledge of JIRA/Confluence/Qase.io/Postman, and strong written and verbal communication.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled, forward-thinking QA Engineer to join our team in a flexible capacity, with opportunities for full-time or part-time engagement, starting immediately or onboarding over the next few months depending on project alignment. In this role, you will combine deep quality assurance expertise with modern AI-agentic technologies to perform, optimize, and scale our testing practices. You will lead the adoption of next-generation QA tools, train AI agents and skills to streamline issue reporting and test generation, meticulously validate AI-driven outputs, and maintain clear, proactive communication with team members and clients regarding testing progress and coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Agent & Workflow Training: Train, refine, and optimize AI agents, prompts, and reusable skills for tasks such as drafting detailed issue descriptions, synthesizing test cases, and building stabilized test scripts with AI to avoid reliance on continuous manual prompting.

Validation & Quality Control: Rigorously recheck, audit, and validate AI-generated test outputs, scripts, and documentation to guarantee accuracy, stability, and high quality standards.

Modern Tool Adoption: Actively leverage modern QA automation and AI-driven platforms to accelerate test execution, expand coverage, and streamline manual effort.

Defect management: Document, prioritize, and track issues through to resolution, ensuring clear and timely communication with the development team.

Team & Client Communication: Maintain transparent, proactive, and clear communication with cross-functional team members and client stakeholders regarding testing progress, overall coverage, and risk assessments.

Release oversight: Monitor software builds and releases, performing regression and smoke tests to confirm stability and readiness for deployment.

Reporting: Participate in demos and status updates for internal stakeholders, clearly conveying testing progress and key findings.

Project multitasking: Manage multiple testing assignments, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to shifting timelines in an agile environment.

Qualifications Required:

3+ years of manual QA experience: Proven track record of writing and executing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

AI Integration & Tool Adaptability: Demonstrated aptitude for adopting cutting-edge QA automation tools and incorporating AI-agentic workflows into everyday QA practices.

Tool proficiency: Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Qase.io , or equivalent software for issue tracking and test management.

API testing: Skilled in Postman (or similar) with exposure to Swagger/OpenAPI documentation or equivalent.

Communication skills: Strong written, verbal, and presentation capabilities to articulate issues, processes, and recommendations clearly.

Database knowledge (a plus): Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases is advantageous but not required.
