Job summary

Allata is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join a client product team. You will own end-to-end UI automation for an Angular app with Cypress and develop API tests for Spring Boot services.

You’ll implement tests in CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to ensure quality across releases. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in test automation, strong JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with API testing tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of test automation experience
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Hands-on with Cypress or Playwright
• Experience API testing (REST) and contract testing
• Familiarity with Java/Spring Boot for backend testing
• Experience with CI/CD integrations for tests
• Ability to use AI tools critically in testing

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end UI automation for an Angular app using Cypress
• Develop and maintain automated API and contract tests for Spring Boot REST services and SQS/SNS
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and keep tests fast and reliable
• Translate Jira acceptance criteria and Figma designs into test plans
• Perform exploratory, regression, and functional testing across environments
• Document defects with clear repro steps and evidence
• Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders on triage and fixes
• Continuously assess automation coverage and improve test reliability
