Job summary

Altus Property Partners is seeking a senior operator to lead day-to-day property operations across multifamily, HOA/Condo, and scattered-site portfolios in Chicago. You will own owner and resident relationships, oversee vendor contracts, and drive leasing performance while shaping scalable systems with an investor-first mindset.

The role requires 5+ years in residential property management, a tech-forward approach, and fluency with AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years in residential property management.
Strong leadership and team coordination experience.
Proven ability to manage client and resident relationships.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to embrace AI and modern ops tools.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day property operations across MF, HOA/Condo, and scattered-site portfolios.
Manage owner, board member, and resident relationships.
Oversee vendor relations, negotiations, and service contracts.
Drive leasing performance, occupancy goals, and unit marketing.
Develop budgets, provide financial oversight, and coordinate reporting.
Lead process improvements and ensure team accountability.
Ensure compliance with Illinois landlord-tenant, fair housing, and HOA laws.
Support capital projects, documentation, notices, inspections.
