Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Project Controls Database Administrator (DBA) to design, develop, and govern databases supporting project controls in Washington, DC or Columbia, SC. You will ensure data integrity, system reliability, and efficient data integration across project tools, enabling accurate forecasting and decisionmaking.

You will work with Primavera P6, Power BI, EcoSys, and SQL-based platforms, focusing on data quality, governance, and scalable reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IS/CS/engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of database administration experience.
• Strong SQL proficiency with SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with project controls concepts (cost, scheduling, EVM).
• Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain databases supporting project controls systems (cost, scheduling, earned value).
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security; perform tuning, backups, and recovery.
• Support integration between Primavera P6, Access, EcoSys, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Develop scripts and ETL processes to streamline workflows and data pipelines.
• Enable reporting and analytics for cost, schedule, and performance reports.
