Job summary

Billtrust is hiring a Program Manager, Business & Data in Nashville, TN to structure ambiguous business questions, build models, and drive analysis to decision-ready insights. You will pull and clean data with AI tools, and focus on framing the right question for leadership.

Based in the Strategy Office, you’ll partner across Customer, Go-to-Market, Finance and Operations to scale programs and analytics. Onsite from our Gulch office with fast-moving priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT/Data, or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, strategy, finance, or a related analytical role, or a recent graduate with strong internship or co-op experience in the same.
• Demonstrated ability to build AI into personal workflows for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Strong quantitative and modeling skills, with the ability to structure a problem before reaching for a spreadsheet.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity, able to take a laundry list of open items and chase it to closure.
• Advanced Excel or equivalent modeling tool proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present a number and defend the logic behind it.

Responsibilities

• Take a loosely defined business question and structure it into a clear analytical approach, with a defined hypothesis and a path to an answer.
• Build financial and operational models to size opportunities, evaluate trade-offs, and support decision-making across Strategic Programs/Initiatives.
• Use AI tools to accelerate data pulls, cleaning, and first-pass analysis, focusing your own time on interpreting the result and stress-testing the logic.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting that give leadership a clear, current view of program performance and business metrics.
• Partner with Data and Analytics teams to source, validate, and structure the data needed to answer a given business question.
• Leverage AI co-work agents to draft analysis summaries and model documentation, freeing time for higher-judgment work.
• Own execution of assigned Strategic Programs/Initiatives end to end, converting a scattered list of open items into a structured plan with clear owners and dates, and drive it to closure.
• Identify risks and dependencies across cross-functional workstreams and elevate early.
• Support the Strategy Office in scaling program and analytical capacity as the Strategic Programs portfolio grows.
