Job summary

AgFunder is seeking a Vice President, Program Management to serve as the operational backbone across finance, legal, regulatory, clinical development, and beyond. You will ensure that timelines and risks are visible to leadership and that decisions move the programs forward with speed and clarity.

Roughly 80% of focus will be on the lead program, with potential to scale into a broader portfolio. This role is remote (U.S.) and requires an AI‑native mindset to leverage dashboards and updates

Qualifications

• 10+ years in biotech/pharma drug development in a program or portfolio management role.
• Experience leading late-stage programs to approval and/or commercialization.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives without direct authority.
• Deep cross-functional drug development process knowledge across clinical, regulatory, CMC, and nonclinical.
• AI-native: daily use of AI tools and ability to design dashboards/reports.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrated program plan with timelines, milestones, dependencies and critical path for PIKTOR and portfolio.
• Proactively surface roadblocks, slippage, and new information to ELT and C‑suite with options.
• Design and own the governance model: stage gates, decision rights, escalation paths; draft OKRs.
• Frame strategic choices and prepare materials to support CEO and ELT decisions.
• Leverage AI to compress busywork and build dashboards, briefings, and communication tools.
• Coordinate budget, resourcing, and CRO/vendor activities with Finance; align timelines and spend.
• Act as internal quarterback for BD diligence and deal readiness; ensure data package coherence.
• Set the program-management standard with tools, templates, and operating rhythms.
