Job summary

EY is seeking a senior engineer to transform AI capabilities into durable products, working end-to-end from user conversations to production services. You will be close to users, influence product decisions, and deliver coherent verticals across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and enterprise integrations.

The role emphasizes ownership, responsible AI, and robust evaluation, with travel up to 50% and a hybrid office setup to collaborate across product, design, and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept through launch, learning, and adoption.
• Technical breadth: full-stack capability across modern frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies.
• Applied AI experience: hands-on experience building products with large language models, retrieval, tools, or similar patterns.
• Evaluation experience: automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, and performance improvement.
• User-centered practice: working with users, designers, and product leaders to turn evidence into better decisions.
• Engineering craft: clear specs, maintainable code, thoughtful review, and sound trade-offs.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office availability.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user. Work with users and domain experts to understand workflows and identify AI value points.
• Test assumptions quickly with concise specifications, prototypes, and small releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and enterprise integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, outputs, and tool use.
• Build an evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument user journeys to relate adoption and outcomes to system behavior, latency, failures, and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use with clear permission boundaries, secure data handling, and graceful degradation.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor live behavior, and respond to incidents.
• Make practical trade-offs balancing experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns and evaluation assets to the broader platform.
