Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn AI capabilities into durable products, working closely with users, product decisions, and production code. The role emphasizes ownership across the entire product slice, from interfaces to enterprise integrations, with a bias toward testable prototypes and secure services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant and applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept through launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies.
• Applied AI experience: building products with large language models, retrieval, tools.
• Evaluation experience: automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Live-service ownership: telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, recovery, and performance improvement.
• User-centered practice: working with users, designers, and product leaders to improve decisions.
• Engineering craft: clear specs, maintainable code, thoughtful reviews, and sound trade-offs.
• This role requires up to 50% travel and hybrid office attendance.

Responsibilities

• Understand real workflows with users and domain experts to identify where AI adds value.
• Turn product hypotheses into specifications, prototypes, and small releases with evidence.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, and tool use.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument journeys to relate adoption to system behavior, latency, failures, and cost.
• Ensure responsible use with clear permission boundaries, data handling, checkpoints, and rollback.
• Release incrementally, monitor live behavior, and turn failures into improvements.
• Balance experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost with deterministic choices when suitable.
• Share reusable components and evaluation assets with the platform.
