Job summary

Gates Corporation is actively seeking a Product Development AI Engineer to accelerate innovation by applying AI/ML and advanced analytics to engineering and product development processes.

The role operates at the intersection of engineering, data, and digital technology, partnering with product teams to improve design efficiency, predictive performance, and lifecycle management for Gates’ power transmission and fluid power products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, CS, Data Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or related field; Master/PhD preferred.
• 5–7+ years applying ML/advanced analytics in engineering, manufacturing or industrial context.
• Experience with physical product development and engineering datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models to support product design, simulation, testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with fluid power, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to embed AI in workflows.
• Curate and structure large datasets from test labs, manufacturing, and field data.
