Job summary

CoStar Group in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Procurement Strategy Partner to drive technology spend optimization, FinOps, and AI-enabled procurement transformation. This role focuses on modernizing procurement processes, cost reduction, and automation across software, cloud, and professional services.

The ideal candidate combines technical operations experience with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement, and will work in-office Monday through Friday at our Arlington location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operations, FinOps, or spend management.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently lead cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes.
• Experience supporting cloud financial management or FinOps initiatives.
• Experience leading AI initiatives.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders, Finance, IT, Security, and Legal to support sourcing and procurement activities for technology-related spend.
• Assist vendor evaluations, RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier management activities.
• Analyze technology expenditures and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
• Support enterprise software, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, and professional services procurement initiatives.
• Establish and maintain vendor performance metrics and scorecards.
• Develop reporting and business insights to support budgeting and investment decisions.
