Job summary

CoStar Group, a leading real estate information and analytics company, seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive AI automation across multiple platforms. You will provide technical leadership, shape architecture, and own delivery for AI-enabled software products.

The role requires hands-on expertise with TypeScript, C#, .NET, React, AWS, and modern cloud-native practices, plus a strong track record in scalable systems and AI integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack development
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, C#, .NET, React, SQL Server, Elasticsearch, AWS, and modern cloud-native development practices
• Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, API design, and scalable development
• Experience evaluating or developing AI-powered solutions and familiarity with LLMs and AI tooling

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, architectural direction and delivery ownership for a portfolio of software products and platforms
• Champion AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity and quality
• Leverage AI-powered observability and automation to improve resiliency and customer experience
• Identify and implement intelligent solutions that streamline workflows and accelerate outcomes
• Lead design, development and governance of AI-powered solutions including agents, tools and copilots
• Establish and enforce engineering and testing best practices for quality, security and scalability
• Promote responsible AI adoption ensuring security, privacy, governance and compliance
• Apply modern quality management to deliver reliable software
