Job summary

Ascend is hiring a Manager for People & Talent Operations, responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions and compliance across multiple states. This critical role will ensure that all operations are running smoothly while governing external vendors and maintaining employee relations. Candidates should have significant experience in HR and knowledge of immigration programs.

The ideal applicant will possess a Bachelor's degree, over 5 years of HR experience, and familiarity with Greenhouse ATS. This position is suitable for a proactive individual comfortable using AI tools to enhance HR processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of compliance, ER, or immigration programs.
• Hands-on experience with Greenhouse ATS.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding and offboarding.
• Ensure compliance with I-9 and E-Verify requirements.
• Oversee talent recruiting operations and ATS administration.

Skills

Strong judgment in employee relations situations

Deep working knowledge of multi-state employment law

Exceptional organizational discipline

Comfortable leveraging AI tools and automation

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
