Job summary

Lightning AI seeks a data-driven People Operations specialist to build an AI-native People Ops organization and own secure, automated workflows across hiring, onboarding, and employee data management.

You’ll report to the Head of People Ops and partner with Finance, Legal, and IT to deliver scalable, compliant solutions that improve the employee experience while maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Tech with holistic People Operations service delivery and administration.
• Experience with people data, business systems, analytics platforms, or enterprise data infrastructure (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, Excel).
• Deep familiarity with HRIS and / or ATS platforms (Rippling, Greenhouse, Ashby, or similar).
• Experience designing secure systems with role-based access control and data permissioning.
• Strong product instincts. You think end to end, ask why, and care whether the thing actually gets used.
• Excellent stakeholder management and demonstrated cross functional partnership with Finance, Legal, and IT.
• Experience building processes and products from scratch and taking them to production.

Responsibilities

• Design secure systems with role-based permissions and appropriate data access.
• Build agents, workflows, dashboards, and decision-support tools that help the People team and leaders make better decisions.
• Own day-to-day People Operations administration across the employee lifecycle.
• Support payroll and benefits administration, including changes, audits, enrollments, and inquiries.
• Serve as a point of contact for pay, benefits, leave, policies, and systems across the People programs.
• Keep People data and systems accurate through audits, cleanup, and documentation.
• Support recurring People programs and operations cycles.
• Partner with the broader People team to ship internal solutions end to end.
• Build and maintain integrations, reporting, and automated workflows across People systems.
• Ensure solutions meet legal and compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
