Job summary

Finni Health is seeking a Payroll Manager to own payroll end-to-end for 1,000+ W-2 employees across multiple states. You will manage Rippling payrolls, tax accounts, and year-end filings, while building AI-enabled processes that scale with our fast-growing healthcare platform.

You will drive reconciliations, audits, and improvements to ensure accurate, on-time pay and compliance across states, with direct visibility into a high-ownership finance & operations function within a rapidly scaling

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on U.S. payroll experience.
• 2+ years owning full-cycle, multi-state payroll for 500+ W-2 employees (1,000+ preferred).
• Experience with Rippling or similar payroll/HRIS platform.

Responsibilities

• Own scheduled and off-cycle payroll runs for 1,000+ W-2 employees across multiple states.
• Perform pre- and post-payroll reviews, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
• Manage our federal, state, and local payroll-tax accounts - registrations, filings, and authorizations.
• Lead quarter-end and year-end payroll activities (Forms 941 and 940, W-2/W-3, 1099 where applicable).
• Design and deploy AI workflows that automate routine payroll questions and route sensitive cases for review.
• Build and maintain a scalable payroll knowledge base and SOPs.
