Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an ambitious engineer to design, build, and operate high-availability, multi-region cloud services with a strong emphasis on security and observability. You will develop event-driven architectures and optimize data paths for rapid trade lifecycle processing.

You will collaborate across teams, drive modernization, and govern AI agents within production-grade Java microservices, leveraging the firm's AI tooling to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional Java software development experience.
  • Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and governance of AI agents.
  • Experience building event-driven and distributed systems with messaging (e.g., Kafka).
  • Strong SDLC practices including CI/CD and test automation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate high-availability, multi-region cloud services with security and observability.
  • Develop event-driven architectures and high-throughput data paths for trade lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to model business processes and drive modernization.
  • Manage the full software lifecycle from requirements to release following robust SDLC and Agile practices.
  • Multiply impact with AI-centric toolchains and AI agents to accelerate delivery.
  • Create reusable capabilities across front, middle, and back office functions.
