Job summary

Formic is seeking an on-site IT Operations leader to own the day-to-day technology experience for the Bolingbrook office and warehouse, including computers, accounts, permissions, onboarding/offboarding, and our IT partner relationships.

You will manage office tech—from network to AV, access control, and security—while driving automation using AI and scripting. 3–7 years in IT operations with a strong learning mindset is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in IT operations, systems administration, or similar hands-on tech roles.
• Experience supporting Mac and Windows devices, apps, accounts, and connectivity.
• Strong fundamentals with ability to learn and apply AI tools to automation.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day internal IT support across Mac/Windows devices and apps.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding, accounts, permissions, and secure access.
• Administer device fleet, patching, encryption, and endpoint protection.
• Maintain hardware inventory and lifecycle planning.
• Administer Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, 1Password, M365, Apple Business Manager, VPN.
• Manage accounts, MFA, SSO, and app access.
• Document system configurations and processes.
• Own Bolingbrook office technology and coordinate with teams for Oakland.
