Job summary

Alternative Payments is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to own complex business problems end-to-end, partnering with operations, data, and product teams to build internal tooling, automations, and AI agents that accelerate the company.

You’ll work within Engineering on prototyping to production, shaping reliable systems, dashboards for Ops and Finance, and instrumenting scalable, AI-driven workflows that move money safely and efficiently across the business.

Qualifications

• Architectural know-how
• Infra fluency in platform/infrastructure
• Full-stack proficiency across frontend and backend
• AI-native bias in daily workflows
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Next.js and Python; Go/Rust with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and AWS considered plus
• Experience designing and evolving scalable systems with tradeoffs awareness
• Ability to own projects end-to-end with stakeholder communication and delivery accountability
• Cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Product and Data
• Bias toward business impact and results
• Comfort working in ambiguity and autonomy

Responsibilities

• Own complex internal tooling and automations end-to-end
• Build internal AI-driven data infrastructure
• Develop dashboards and internal platforms for Ops, Finance, and Admin
• Partner with Product Engineering to translate ideas into production-ready systems
• Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of systems moving money
