Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Instructional Designer to create engaging learning experiences for associates. You will apply learning science, design expertise, and AI-enabled workflows to deliver high-quality projects from analysis through implementation.

You will design learner-centered experiences across eLearning, ILT, and blended formats, collaborating with business partners and SMEs, and leveraging Agile/SAM methodologies to improve learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related field preferred (or equivalent Home Depot experience).
• Ability to design learner-centered experiences that are visually engaging, contextual, and immediately applicable to the work environment
• Working knowledge of multiple learning modalities including eLearning, instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, mobile, and performance support solutions
• Experience with agile learning development or the Successive Approximation Model (SAM)
• Experience using generative AI and AI-enabled tools to support learning analysis, content development, asset creation, and workflow efficiency
• Knowledge of current learning technologies, digital learning trends, and modern content creation practices. Proficiency using modern learning technologies, AI-enabled content development platforms and digital learning tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe CC, Copilot, Gemini, etc.)
• Familiarity with learning analytics, learner feedback and data-driven evaluation methods

Responsibilities

• Design and develop learning solutions across modalities (eLearning, ILT, virtual, blended).
• Collaborate with Learning Strategy Senior Managers and subject matter experts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work with standard development tools and software (Articulate Storyline/Rise, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Communicate with project team members and effectively manage projects.
• Develop creative and innovative ways to develop associates.
