Job summary

Turbopuffer is seeking a Controller to evolve the finance function at a fast-growing startup. You will own month-end close and reporting, including variance analysis, and lead our ERP migration to an AI-native platform with full oversight over design and configuration.

You will oversee billing operations, multi-country payroll and benefits, and collaborate on rolling forecasts while keeping an audit-ready posture. Direct collaboration with our CFO will shape the finance roadmap.

Qualifications

• CPA with deep US GAAP accounting experience, ideally in an audited environment.
• Progressive experience at high-growth tech startups.
• Ability to rapidly shift context and rebalance priorities based on business needs.
• Proven track record deploying AI agents to automate complex tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and reporting, including variance analysis and statement prep.
• Lead ERP migration to an AI-native platform; oversee system design and configuration.
• Expand AI orchestration for finance; repeatable work goes to agents.
• Oversee billing operations day to day and multi-country payroll.
• Coordinate with external providers to ensure global tax compliance.
• Maintain an audit-ready posture with proper controls and memos.
• Coordinate agents to run but own transactional accounting.
• Collaborate on financial planning and rolling forecasts.
• Dive in to ad hoc projects as needed.
